India is a country of different types of festivals, in which the values ​​of each person are honored and this honor is celebrated by making it a festival. Therefore, Purnima of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month is celebrated as Guru Purnima.

History behind Gurupurnima

Krishna Dwepayan Vyas who composed 18 Puranas, Sub Puranas and Vedas and wrote a poem called Mahabharata. This Krishnadvaipayana is also known as Veda Vyas as he composed the Vedas. Veda Vyas is considered to be the Guru of the whole earth so his birthday is celebrated as Gurupurnima.

The first Guru is believed to be Lord Shiva. Parashuram and Shanidev were disciples of Lord Shiva, hence they are also known as Adideva. This is the story of the Puranas!

Who is actually Guru ?? What is the actual meaning of Guru??

In Sanskrit, Guru means remover of darkness and attainment of knowledge. So the first Guru of any human being is his parents and no one else can take his place.

Guru means every person who shows us the right path in our life, which prevents us from going the wrong way. Even the smallest incident that happens to us teaches us a lot. So the word guru is very difficult to understand. It is the Guru who awakens faith in us, teaches us to live life. It is said that without Guru there is no knowledge and without knowledge there is no one can become great. One who does not have a guru should understand that he is not rich.

Any great person of our country like Swami Vivekananda, Gandhiji, Raja Rammohan Roy, Sardar Patel was successful, he was the guru who showed them the right path of his life, and only under the guidance of his guru he was able to make a significant contribution to our country.

વિવિધ પ્રકારના તહેવાર નો દેશ એટલે ભારત, જેમાં દરેક વ્યક્તિના ભાવો નું સન્માન કરવામાં આવે છે અને આ સન્માન ને એક ત્યોહાર બનાવીને ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. તેથી અષાઢ માસના શુક્લ પક્ષની પૂર્ણિમાને ગુરુ પૂર્ણિમા તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.

ગુરુપૂર્ણિમા પાછળનો ઇતિહાસ

ક્રિષ્ના દ્વેપાયન વ્યાસ કે જેમને ૧૮ પુરાણો ઉપ પુરાણો અને વેદોની રચના કરી મહાભારત નામનું કાવ્ય લખ્યું. આ કૃષ્ણદ્વૈપાયન ને વેદોની રચના કરી હોવાથી તેમને વેદ વ્યાસ તરીકે પણ ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. વેદ વ્યાસને સમગ્ર પૃથ્વી પરના ગુરુ માનવામાં આવે છે તેથી તેમના જન્મદિવસને ગુરુપૂર્ણિમા તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.

સૌથી પહેલા ગુરુ તો ભગવાન શિવને માનવામાં આવે છે પરશુરામ અને અને શનિદેવ ભગવાન શિવનાં શિષ્ય હતા તેથી તેમને આદિદેવ તરીકે પણ ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. આ તો થઈ પુરાણો ની વાત!

વાસ્તવમાં ગુરુ છે કોણ??

સંસ્કૃતમાં ગુરુનો અર્થ અંધકારને દૂર કરનાર અને જ્ઞાનની પ્રાપ્તિ કરાવનાર એવો થાય છે. તેથી કોઈપણ મનુષ્યના સૌથી પહેલો ગુરુ તેમના માતા-પિતા છે તેમનું સ્થાન બીજું કોઈ પણ લઈ ન શકે.

ગુરુ એટલે એવી દરેક વ્યક્તિ તે જે આપણને આપણા જીવનમાં સાચો માર્ગ બતાવે, જે આપણને ખોટા માર્ગે જતા અટકાવે. આપણી સાથે બનતી નાનામાં નાની ઘટના પણ આપણને ઘણું બધું શીખવાડી ને જતી હોય છે. તેથી ગુરુ શબ્દ અને સમજવો ખૂબ જ મુશ્કેલ છે. ગુરુએ છે જે આપણી અંદર વિશ્વાસ જગાડે, જિંદગી જીવતા શીખવાડે. કહેવાય છે ને કે ગુરુ વગર જ્ઞાન નથી અને જ્ઞાન વગર કોઈ મહાન નથી. જેની પાસે ગુરુ નથી સમજી લેવું કે  તે ધનવાન નથી.

આપણી આપણા દેશના કોઈપણ મહાન વ્યક્તિ જેવા કે સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદ ,ગાંધીજી, રાજા રામમોહનરાય, સરદાર પટેલ તે સફળ બન્યા તેમને તેમના જીવનનો સાચો માર્ગ દેખાડનાર તેમાંના ગુરૂ જ હતા, અને તેઓ તેમના ગુરુ ના માર્ગદર્શન હેઠળ જ આપણા દેશને આગળ આવવામાં મહત્વનો ફાળો આપી શક્યા.
