Interesting facts about the birth of Balram Dau!!

We all know that Balram who is born as the elder brother of Krishna in Dvaparayuga is none other than the incarnation of Sheshnag. These Balram Dau are very strong, very powerful so they are also known as Balbhadra. He is also known as Haldhar as Balram's weapon is Hull. Apart from this he has many other names of which another name related to his birth is Sankarshana. There are many famous stories about how this name came to be which we will see later.

Did you know that Janmashtami i.e. Balram Jayanti is also celebrated before the birth of Krishna. Which is known as Baldev Chhath. On the sixth Balbhadra of Krishna Paksha of Bhadra Path month celebrated as Balram Jayanti.On this day, it is forbidden to eat grains grown by plowing. This year i.e. in 2020 Balram Jayanti will be celebrated on 9th August.

We all know that whenever Lord Vishnu is born on earth in human incarnation, Sheshnag, who is holding the earth on his forehead, is also born with him. Tretayug means Satyug in which Lord Vishnu in the form of Rama born to Dasharatha Raja's there and Lakshmana also born to Dasharatha Raja's there as his younger brother. Now in Dvaparayuga Vishnu incarnates in the form of Lord Krishna and Sheshnag incarnates in the form of Balram as his elder brother.

There is also a very interesting story about why Balram incarnates as Krishna's elder brother in the Dvaparayuga. Sheshnag who is always serving Lord Vishnu gets annoyed with Lord Vishnu .when Lord Vishnu When he asks the reason for his displeasure, Sheshnag says, O Lord! Always I am tired of serving at your feet, I want to relax. Then Lord Vishnu blesses him that when I am born in the form of Krishna in Dvaparayuga, you will be born in the form of my elder brother. And I will serve you.

Everyone knows about the birth of Lakshmana that he was the son of King Dasharatha and mother Sumitra. But there is a lot of speculation about Balram's birth whether his mother was Devaki or Vasudeva's first wife Rohini. This is also why many stories are prevalent in the scriptures. According to the scriptures, Balram is born as the seventh fetus of mother Devaki. So why are Rohini known as Balram's mother? So let's look at the reason behind this now. When Devaki conceives for the seventh son, the radiance of Balram in the womb spreads light throughout the prison and the evil Kansa cannot see anything, his eyes are dazzled, he sees a snake all around him This makes Kans very angry. Seeing this, Lord Vishnu becomes worried due to the caution of Devaki and Vasudeva. Lord Vishnu orders Yogamaya to place the seventh womb of Devaki in the womb of Rohini, the first wife of Vasudeva. Yogamaya implants the seventh womb of Devaki in Rohini as per the order of Lord Vishnu hence Balram is also known as Sankarshana. And so Devaki cannot give birth to the seventh son. Because she has an abortion.

Now if we consider another thing, some people say that Vasudev and Devaki are very shocked by the death of their 6 sons. And does great penance for the protection of his seventh son. whose fruit form is the seventh son who is a Devaki's fetus but  birth is given by Rohini. That is why Devaki does not give birth to the seventh son and her seventh son Balram born in Rohini's house.

આપણે બધા જાણીએ છે કે બલરામ જે દ્વાપરયુગમાં કૃષ્ણના મોટાભાઈ તરીકે જન્મ લે છે તે બીજું કોઈ નહીં પરંતુ શેષનાગના અવતાર છે. આ બલરામ દાઉ ખૂબ જ બળવાન, ખૂબ જ શક્તિશાળી હોય છે જેથી તેઓ બલભદ્ર તરીકે પણ ઓળખાય છે. આ ઉપરાંત બલરામ નું શસ્ત્ર હલ હોવાથી તેઓ હલધર તરીકે પણ ઓળખાય છે. આ ઉપરાંત તેમના અન્ય ઘણાં નામ છે જેમાંનું તેમના જન્મ સંબંધી બીજું નામ સંકર્ષણ છે. આ નામ કઈ રીતે આવ્યું તે માટે ઘણી બધી કથાઓ પ્રસિદ્ધ છે જે આપણે આગળ જોઈશું.

શું તમે જાણો છો જન્માષ્ટમી એટલે કે કૃષ્ણના જન્મ ઉજવણી પહેલા જ બલરામ જયંતિ પણ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. જે બલદેવ છઠ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે. ભદ્ર પદ મહિનાના કૃષ્ણ પક્ષના છઠ્ઠે બલભદ્ર એટલે કે બલરામ જયંતિ ની 

ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવે છે. આ દિવસે હલ વડે ખેડાયેલી ખેતી વડે ઉપજતું અનાજ ખાવા પર પ્રતિબંધ છે. આ વર્ષે એટલે કે 2020માં 9th ઓગસ્ટે બલરામ જયંતિની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવશે.

આપણે બધા જાણીએ છીએ કે જ્યારે પણ વિષ્ણુ ભગવાન પૃથ્વી પર માનવ અવતારમા જન્મ લે છે ત્યારે તેમની સાથે શેષનાગ કે જેમને પોતાના ફણ પર પૃથ્વીને ધરી છે, તે પણ જન્મ લે છે. ત્રેતાયુગ એટલે કે સતયુગ કે જેમાં વિષ્ણુ ભગવાને રામ સ્વરૂપે દશરથ રાજાને ત્યાં જન્મ લીધો અને અને લક્ષ્મણે પણ દશરથ રાજાને ત્યાં તેમના નાના ભાઈ તરીકે જન્મ લીધો. હવે દ્વાપરયુગમાં વિષ્ણુ ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ સ્વરૂપે અવતાર લે છે અને શેષનાગ બલરામ સ્વરૂપે તેમના મોટા ભાઈ તરીકે અવતાર લે છે. 

હવે દ્વાપરયુગમાં બલરામ કૃષ્ણના મોટાભાઈ તરીકે શા માટે અવતાર લે છે તેનો ઉલ્લેખ પણ શાસ્ત્રોમાં કરવામાં આવ્યો છે તેની પણ ખૂબ જ રોચક કથા છે. શેષનાગ કે જે હંમેશા વિષ્ણુ ભગવાનની સેવા કરતા હોય છે તે પ્રભુ થી નારાજ થઈ જાય છે ત્યારે વિષ્ણુ ભગવાન તેની 

નારાજગીનું કારણ પૂછે છે ત્યારે શેષનાગ કહે છે હે પ્રભુ! હંમેશા હું તમારા ચરણોમાં સેવા કરીને થાકી ગયો છું, મારે આરામ કરવો છે. ત્યારે વિષ્ણુ ભગવાન તેને વરદાન આપે છે કે જ્યારે દ્વાપરયુગમાં હું કૃષ્ણ સ્વરૂપે જન્મ લઇશ ત્યારે તમે મારા મોટાભાઈ સ્વરૂપે જન્મ લેશો. અને હું તમારી સેવા કરીશ.

લક્ષ્મણના જન્મ અંગે તો બધાને જાણ છે કે તે રાજા દશરથ અને માતા સુમિત્રા નો પુત્ર હતો. પરંતુ બલરામ ના જન્મ અંગે ઘણી બધી અટકળો છે કે તેમની માતા દેવકી હતા કે પછી વસુદેવના પ્રથમ પત્ની રોહિણી હતા. આ માટે પણ શાસ્ત્રમાં ઘણી બધી કથાઓ પ્રચલિત છે જો શાસ્ત્રોનું માનીએ તો, બલરામ માતા દેવકી ના સાતમા ગર્ભ સ્વરૂપે જન્મ લે છે. તો તમે કહેશો કે તો બલરામ ની માતા તરીકે  રોહિણી ને શા માટે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે?? તો ચાલો હવે આની પાછળનો કારણ જોઈએ. જ્યારે દેવકી સાતમા પુત્ર માટે ગર્ભ ધારણ કરે છે ત્યારે ગર્ભમાં રહેલા બલરામ ના તેજથી સંપૂર્ણ જેલ માં પ્રકાશ ફેલાઈ જાય છે અને દુષ્ટ કંસ કંઈપણ દેખી શકતો નથી તેની આંખો અંજાઈ જાય છે તેને ચારે તરફ નાગ જ દેખાય છે. આને લીધે કંસ ખૂબ જ ક્રોધિત થઈ જાય છે. ભગવાન વિષ્ણુ આ જોઈને દેવકી અને વાસુદેવની સાવચેતી ને લીધે ચિંતાતુર થઈ જાય છે . ભગવાન વિષ્ણુ યોગમાયાને આદેશ આપે છે કે તેઓ દેવકી ના સાતમા ગર્ભને વસુદેવની પ્રથમ પત્ની  રોહિણીના ગર્ભમાં પ્રસ્થાપિત કરે. યોગમાયા વિષ્ણુ ભગવાન ના આદેશ મુજબ દેવકી ના સાતમા ગર્ભને રોહિણીમાં પ્રસ્થાપિત કરે છે તેથી બલરામ સંકર્ષણ તરીકે પણ ઓળખાય છે. અને તેથી દેવકી સાતમા પુત્રને જન્મ આપી શકતી નથી. કારણકે તેનો ગર્ભપાત થઈ જાય છે.

હવે જો બીજી વાત માનીએ તો કેટલાક લોકો એવું કહે છે કે વસુદેવ અને દેવકી તેમના ૬ પુત્રના મોતથી તેમને ખૂબ જ મોટો આઘાત લાગે છે. અને પોતાના સાતમા પુત્રના રક્ષણ માટે ખૂબ જ તપ કરે છે જેના ફળ સ્વરૂપ સાતમો પુત્ર જે દેવકી નોજ ગર્ભ છે પરંતુ જન્મ  રોહિણી આપે છે. તેથી જ દેવકી સાતમા પુત્રને જન્મ આપતી નથી અને તેનો સાતમો પુત્ર બલરામ રોહિણીને ત્યાં જન્મ લે છે.
