Today is the 1st July is dedicated to the soldiers of the country who are given the status of God in India. But Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birthday is celebrated (1july, 1882) as Doctor's Day. The purpose behind celebrating Doctor's Day is to remember the work that doctors have done for the people and the sacrifices they have made. This is the man who gave importance to mental and physical health in India. And this was the time when India was a slave to the British. And he clearly believed that if a young country like India was to prosper, its citizens must be physically and mentally healthy.
